New Blog!

For now this blog has been put on hold.  I'll be rerouting it's focus to provide information on Gilly Lynn events, press, and updates to the brand's website, GillyLynn.com

I needed to create a space to encompass more than just the views of the Gilly Lynn brand, so I hope that you'll visit my other blog AmandaNGill.Blogspot.com where I'll be discussing fashion, trends, helpful hints, and how-to's.  Thanks for stopping by!

Romping Around

BCBGeneration Criss-Cross Back Romper

T-Bags Zip Romper

Rompers have appeared in and out of fashion since the 1930s.  Lately, I've been seeing them all over the place!  Its easy to wear and comfortable, and can be a very versatile piece to add to your wardrobe.  Pair it with strappy sandals and a hobo bag for shopping in the afternoon, throw it on over your swimsuit and head to the beach, or dress it up with a pair of heels and gold bracelet for a night on the town.  The possibilities are endless!

As I strolled down King St. in the sweltering heat of summer in South Carolina, I paused in front of Louis Vuitton to admire the window.  An Eiffel Tower shaped stack of luggage.  I couldn’t help to think that at exactly this time last year I myself was packing my bags for Paris.  Headed to the center of couture for experience in styling, trend forecasting, and a lesson in life.

Its funny where life takes you and the places that you end up.  If someone had asked me where I would be six months ago, Charleston, SC would have never crossed my mind.  One email to a designer, one 16-foot truck later, and with the support of family and friends, I have yet again changed my life.

From the outskirts of Baltimore to the mountains of West Virginia, the bustling streets of Paris, and the coast of S. Carolina, I have had the opportunity to be inspired.  Fashion fills me with an excitement and passion that I can’t quite explain.  I hope that one day I can create in a way that will fill others with the same joy.

Please enjoy this collection of thoughts, ideas, and reflections on all things fashion, art, and design inspired.
